“Meet the Director”

Sean Srigley

The Storm Grove Middle School Band is under the direction of Sean Srigley.  Mr. Srigley previously taught middle school band at Gifford Middle School in Vero Beach, Oslo Middle School in Vero Beach, and Osceola Middle School in Okeechobee, Florida.  Mr. Srigley is a graduate of Indian River County schools, including Vero Beach High School.  Mr. Srigley continued his education by earning his Associate in Arts degree from Indian River Community College in 1997, and his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Central Florida in 1999.

Bands undr the direction of Mr. Srigley have consistently earned Superior ratings at Florida Bandmaster’s Association Assessments.  Mr. Srigley’s professional affiliations include the Florida Music Educator’s Association, Florida Bandmaster’s Association, and the Music Educator’s National Conference.  In addition to his position at SGMS, Mr. Srigley also serves as an FBA adjudicator and works with the Sebastian River High School and Vero Beach High School Bands.

Mr. Srigley, a lifelong resident of Indian River County, and resides in Sebastian, Florida, with his wife and two children.
